Wasted Day…
Jul. 3rd, 2022 05:39 pmSunday July 3, 2022 4:53pm

Ive only been awake for a couple hours; I slept til almost 1pm this afternoon. Felt good to sleep in, but I feel like that vast majority of the day has been wasted now. I had planned to get outside and get some yard work done, but its already to hot out here for me. I wanted to get the strawberries dug up and moved out of the raised gardens. The feral kittens are using my raised gardens as massive kitty litter boxes and Ive decided to get rid of them. My son, Dustin, is going to take them to his new house once we get all the dirt out of them. Well, before that can happen, I have to move the strawberries and the Lillie’s that are planted in them. Both, the strawberries and Lillie’s, were planted in the gardens as a temporary fix last summer when I had OHS. Because things moved so quickly last year once I switched from St Joes to UM, I didnt have time to properly plant them. My mom quickly planted them in the raised gardens so they wouldn’t die. They’ve actually done really-really well where they are, but the kittens are starting to ruin them. Best to get them moved and re-planted elsewhere and get rid of the gardens.

Took a little trip with my mom, Paige and 2 of my grand daughters, Emma and Avaya, to visit my son Dustin and his family in their new home in Durand. It’s a nice house-but needs some updating. It’s in a really nice neighborhood and they have a great back yard and lots of space for their family. Miranda’s mom was there helping paint Harper’s bedroom. I am so beyond happy for them!! They are the last of my kids to buy a home; they have been renting a small apartment the last 7 years. They are working on getting fully moved in and unpacked and settled. It’s alot of work, but they will get there.

Ive been working hard at getting exercise on a regular basis now. I try very hard to get exercise at least 5 days/week. I still need to get more exercise than I am getting, but I’m getting there. Since contracting ring worm, Ive not been able to attend ICR for fear of spreading it. I can go back once the scaling and bumps are gone. It’s most gone, Thank God!! I really need to get at it!!
I have been eating much more healthily and following the ADA plate method for diabetics. Since getting back on track, I have lost a total of 9 lbs, which is awesome!! I have an appointment with the bariatric surgeon week after next to talk about weight loss surgery and what my options are. I am not at all interested in by-pass, I want the sleeve. We shall see what my Doc says.

Babysat 2 of my 13 grandkids last night, so that their parents could go to a bonfire and not have to deal with them. yeah, these boys are out of control…for their parents! they listen to Grammie…cuz Grammie doesn’t take any of their shit!!! Honestly, I feel bad (in a way) for my daughter in law, Elz. She has no idea how to parent these boys. She has zero follow through and absolutely no structure what so ever! Ive offered, several times, to help her…and while she always says shes interested and wants to learn how to get them under control…she never follows through. Her andBrandon are in for a really rough road with their 2 youngest children.
We watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas, because, why not!? they love this movie and I dont mind it at all. They says quietly while watching it and laughed and had a lot of fun!! Their older brother, Brayden was also here (he has a different mom than Elz). The three boys enjoyed each other’s company; Brayden doesn’t see his siblings very often. Sadly, Braydens mom, Stephanie, has never allowed him to spend much time with his Dad (my son Brandon) or any of his other siblings. It’s a long story…and while Brandon has tried to fight her for custody and visitation right, she always manages to find loop holes. It’s sad, really. Brayden knows that his dad loves him and I have told him about how his dad has tried to be in his life more. Brayden says he knows, but doesn’t want to make his mom mad. So, he knows her wrath too. Maybe once he’s older he will be able to stand up to her and spend time with his dad and siblings.
I dont have any plans for the 4th of July this year. No one in my family has plans for any kind of get together and I dont plan on going anywhere. I’ll probably grill something and make some yummy food. And maybe Paige and I will go to watch the fire works at the fair grounds this year, I dont know. My dog is scared to death of fireworks and so is Paige’s cat. We might just stay here to give them much needed support.
HAPPY 4th of JULY AMERICA!!
